in my opinion, senior citizens should own a property for themselves.
so that they can live in peace and no landlord will come knocking on their door to make them pay their rental fees.

In my experience, Senior citizen should own a home. The main thing is to consider age and physical condition.

Ideally, senior citizens should own the homes that they are staying on for their own peace of mind. However, I have encountered senior citizens who had suffered a foreclosure or were forced to sell their house unwilling to leave the place they lived on for years despite of the fact that they could own a house at a rate they can afford somewhere else. I think this decision should be based on their budget and support of their family nearby.

Renting is often easier on senior citizens who are in poor health because it reduces stress and increases security in the home.A condo offers exterior maintenance, exterior insurance as well as lawn services through condo fees.I had the big house but had to pay for maid & lawn services which was far more expensive than my condo fees.

thanks for sharing information regarding Should senior citizens rent or own. When you rent a home or apartment, you don't have to worry about conducting routine maintenance yourself, and your landlord is responsible for taking care of problems. In apartments, the yard care is usually included in the rent, which means that you don't have to worry about that either. Renting is often easier on senior citizens who are in poor health.

Most senior citizens are living on a fixed income from social security, 401(k)s and other retirement benefits. When you have a fixed income, budgeting your money can become difficult, and a mortgage might be out of the question. When you rent, you can move to compensate for added expenses and to lower your monthly payments. A mortgage binds you to a specific amount each month unless you intend to sell.
